🇪🇺 Euro (EUR) – history in SEK
Exchange rate on a date
Uses the latest available Riksbank observation on or before your date. Weekends, holidays and data gaps may use an earlier observation; its exact date is shown. Reference rates are not bank buying or selling prices. This lookup is independent of the chart period.
Historical rates in a table
Day shows each actual observation. Month and year show the last available observation in each calendar month or year within the selected chart period, not an average or an intraday closing price. The exact observation date and count are shown. Partial months and years are limited to the selected period and available data; missing dates are not filled. Newest periods first, 20 rows per page. The date lookup does not limit this table.
EUR observations before 1999 refer to ECU, including SEK → EUR inverses.

Exports actual observations within the selected chart period, oldest first, without weekend filling or chart simplification. The date lookup above does not limit the export. Missing observations are omitted; an empty period produces column headers only.
Format: UTF-8, comma-separated, decimal point, ISO dates (YYYY-MM-DD). Stable English column names: observation_date, base_currency, quote_currency, rate, source_currency, source_rate_sek, source and series_note. Rate is quote currency per 1 base currency. Source rates are SEK per 1 source currency; SEK exports contain EUR, USD, NOK and DKK inverses rounded to 10 decimals, with original source rates for reproduction.
Source: Sveriges Riksbank via växla.com. Reference rates, not transaction prices. EUR before 1999 represents ECU and is marked in series_note. Historical coverage varies; source revisions may change later exports.
How has the Euro exchange rate changed?
The count refers to published exchange rate observations, not calendar days. Between observations the chart carries forward the previous available rate, including weekends and holidays; these are not new observations. The chart ends at the last observation in the period.
Low and high refer to actual observations within the selected period, not intraday rates. If an extreme rate occurs more than once, the first observation date is shown. Dates are determined before rounding or any chart simplification.
The chart shows how many Swedish kronor one unit of EUR cost during the period, using the Riksbank daily reference rate. A rising line means the currency became more expensive (a weaker krona); a falling line means it became cheaper (a stronger krona).
